  • Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

    Types of Data Collected

    #### Personal Data

GharTour does not require You to create an email- or password-based account to use the core Service. To brand Your property videos, We ask You to provide on Your Device:

  • Your display name (dealer / agency name)
  • Your phone number (shown on watermarks, outro cards, and captions)
  • These details are stored locally on Your Device and burned into videos You create. We do not use them for marketing contact.

If You purchase GharTour Pro, Apple or Google may share with Us the information needed to confirm Your purchase (see In-App Purchases below). We do not receive Your payment card details.

    #### Property Videos and Content You Create

GharTour is designed to be local-first. Property walkthrough recordings, room labels, intro/outro cards, and exported videos are created and stored on Your Device. We do not upload Your video footage to Our servers for rendering or storage.

When You choose to share a video (for example via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or saving to Your gallery), that action is initiated by You through Your Device's system share sheet or media library. We do not receive a copy of the shared video.

Optional Pro features may let You store a logo image and brand colours on Your Device for use on intro/outro cards. That media stays on Your Device unless You share an exported video that includes it.

    #### Data Stored on Your Device

To provide app features, the Application stores certain information locally on Your Device (for example using SQLite and on-device key-value storage). This may include:

  • Your dealer profile (name, phone number, preferred label language)
  • Property project details You enter (beds, baths, size, area, price, features)
  • Room label events and timing for each project
  • Paths to recorded and exported video files on Your Device
  • Export job status and progress
  • A randomly generated device identifier used to reconcile free-tier export limits
  • Cached Pro entitlement state after a store purchase is validated
  • Onboarding completion and app preferences
  • This information stays on Your Device unless You delete the Application or clear its data. Export-count and purchase entitlement information may also be stored on Our backend (see below).

    #### Export Counter and Entitlements

To operate the free monthly export limit and Pro subscriptions, We store on Our servers (hosted via Supabase):

  • A device identifier generated on Your Device
  • Export usage counts for the current billing period
  • Purchase / entitlement confirmation after store receipt validation (for example product id, expiry, and transaction references provided by the store)
  • We use this information only to enforce fair free-tier limits, unlock Pro features You have purchased, and reconcile offline exports when Your Device reconnects. We do not use it to access Your video content.

    #### Camera, Microphone, and Photos

To provide core features, the Application may request permission to:

  • Camera — record property walkthroughs
  • Microphone — record audio with Your walkthrough
  • Photo library / media library — save exported videos to Your gallery, and (for Pro) optionally pick a logo image
  • These permissions are used only on Your Device to create and save content You choose. Denying a permission may prevent related features from working.

    #### Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service, including through third-party tools integrated into the Application.

Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, app interaction events (for example, onboarding completed, export started, share opened, paywall shown), and other diagnostic data.

When You access the Service through a mobile device, We and Our Service Providers may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, and other diagnostic data used to improve the Service.

    #### In-App Purchases

The Application may offer optional GharTour Pro subscriptions (for example monthly or yearly). Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) and/or Google (Play Store). We do not receive Your payment card details; the store provides Us with purchase confirmation that We validate server-side so Pro features can be unlocked and restored.

    #### Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the Service is used (for example, which screens are opened and whether an export completed). PostHog may process device and usage information according to [PostHog's Privacy Policy](https://posthog.com/privacy). Analytics events are used to improve the Application and are not sold as a standalone product. Analytics events do not include Your property video files.

    #### Sharing Videos and Captions

The Application lets You share exported videos through Your Device's system share sheet (for example WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or other apps) and may copy a generated caption to Your clipboard for social destinations. Sharing is entirely optional and initiated by You. We do not receive the video You share through those destinations.

    Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including to save Your dealer profile and projects on Your Device, render branded videos on-device, and operate export limits and Pro entitlements.
  • For the performance of a contract: to deliver in-app purchases You have bought through the App Store or Play Store.
  • To improve the Service: to analyze Usage Data (including through PostHog) so We can fix issues and improve the Application.
  • For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of Our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve Our Service, products, services, marketing and Your experience.
  • We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share information with Service Providers — including PostHog for analytics and Supabase for export-counter and entitlement hosting — to operate, monitor, and improve the Service.
  • With Apple and Google: Purchase transactions are handled by Apple and/or Google; We receive only the information needed to confirm Your entitlement to Pro features.
  • For business transfers: We may share or transfer Your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another company.
  • With Affiliates: We may share Your information with Our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include Our parent company and any other subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that We control or that are under common control with Us.
  • With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent.
  • Retention of Your Personal Data

Dealer profile, projects, labels, and videos stored on Your Device remain there until You delete them within the Application, uninstall the Application, or clear its data.

Export-count and entitlement records stored on Our servers are retained for as long as needed to operate those features, unless You request deletion or We remove them as part of routine maintenance.

The Company will retain Personal Data received from Service Providers only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Usage Data collected by Service Providers is generally retained according to those providers' policies, except when We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

    Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data processed by Service Providers, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from Your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your use of the Service represents Your agreement to that transfer.

The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.

    Delete Your Personal Data

Because most app data is stored locally on Your Device, You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the Application or clearing its stored data in Your Device settings. Deleting the Application removes local videos and project data from that Device.

If You want export-count or entitlement records associated with Your device identifier removed from Our servers, You may contact Us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of that information.

Please note, however, that We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

    Disclosure of Your Personal Data

    #### Business Transactions

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

    #### Law enforcement

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

    #### Other legal requirements

The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation
  • Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
  • Protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public
  • Protect against legal liability
  • Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

    Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

If We need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing Your information and Your country requires consent from a parent, We may require Your parent's consent before We collect and use that information.

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
